Home Inspection Insight: 3 Things to Know When Working in the Yard
By Lawrence Watkins, Specsure Property Inspections
As a leading home inspection company in Western New York, our licensed, professional home inspectors are often asked for guidance on a wide variety of topics. If the question has anything to do with owning and maintaining a home in the Buffalo, New York area, our inspectors are always more than happy to offer guidance whenever possible.
With that in mind, here are 3 quick tips that can help make your life a little easier when puttering around the yard.
- Before you prune shrubs, coat the blades of the shears with vegetable oil. It will help make for smoother operation and reduce build up of sap on the shears.
- Wear spiked golf shoes when cutting the grass to help aerate compacted soil.
- Keep vegetation trimmed about 24 inches from central air conditioning compressors to help provide for more efficient operation and lower electric bills.
